OUR MISSION & VISION
At ASI, we believe that our citizens - and those who choose to lead - should have a firm grasp on the distinctive combination of our founding principles, our special people, our land and resources, our culture, our economic engine and the importance of America to the rest of the world. This combination is unique within the history of mankind.

OUR MISSION & VISION
ASI’s mission is to build a vibrant republic led by our country’s best and brightest citizenry. We are focused on equipping citizens with a deep appreciation for America’s exceptionalism. ASI approaches its work through the lens of local leadership, establishing community institutions that shape and influence the neighborhoods we call home.

The foundation of ASI’s work is through challenging citizens to put community and country on their priority list in the same way they do their family, business, health, faith and other values that are integral to their well-being. ASI aspires to make active citizenry a part of Americans’ everyday lives, and to equip them with the necessary tools to take deliberate and consistent steps to help rehabilitate leadership in our republic by starting at the local level.
WHAT SETS US APART
ASI is the only organization solely committed to a nonpartisan, multifaceted approach of civic engagement at the local level.

ASI focuses on action by encouraging its donors and their networks to be not just financial supporters but also thought-leaders and active participants in the work. ASI is inspiring many of its supporters to demonstrate their engagement through local civic involvement, ensuring their philanthropy goes beyond dollars to include time, attention, and participation.

Through its programs, ASI is not just creating leaders; it is creating a renewed vision for America, where families and communities are empowered to engage in governance and civic work that drives meaningful, long-lasting change.

A MESSAGE FROM OUR FOUNDER
Reinvesting American Leadership in American Exceptionalism.
The American republic is exceptional in many ways. Blessed by a uniquely positioned geography, a hardy, daring, and exploration-driven culture was formed over 400 years by immigrants making their way to our abundant shores. Out of this mixture of land, people, and culture emerged the greatest economic engine in the history of the world. A world of nations has shared its people with our country, looking to America for the newest innovations to carry us forward, as well as for defense and protection in times of trouble.
Throughout our history, our prosperity and way of life have been guided and stewarded by a small group of leaders. These leaders, from every corner of our nation, led in commerce, in community, and in country. Leadership has been populated by all manner of people, with membership self-selecting, rising and falling through the generations, each guided by a singular understanding and steadfast belief in our American Exceptionalism.
The American Stewardship Initiative (ASI) was born out of a need to reinvigorate our nation’s leadership and awaken a spirit of engagement. Are you spending a minute per day, an hour per week, or a day per month on your community and your country? Are your children? Do you even know how? While our nation continues its dynamic journey, the past fifty years have seen a decline in our American leadership class.
Through its work, ASI provides a framework for recruiting and mentoring leadership, uniting families from across our nation to inspire intentional and consistent action on the part of those who should lead and raise future generations of leaders. It also provides programming that fosters an appreciation for America, its exceptionalism, and the value of active participation and leadership in local communities.
In addition, ASI aspires to reestablish sound governing practices and to revitalize American cities from the ground up by supporting nonpartisan activities and solutions addressing society’s most pressing challenges.
ASI is dedicated to bringing together successful business, philanthropic, and community leaders to cultivate and empower active and engaged citizens and citizen leaders, significantly impacting the trajectory of our American republic. To paraphrase Victor Davis Hason, there is a massive chasm between being a resident and being a citizen. America needs more citizens and more citizen leaders.
ASI seeks funding to support aligned programming, leadership engagement, philanthropic investment where it is needed most, and educational opportunities that inspire and equip future leaders to become more informed, intentionally engaged, and influential participants in their communities and beyond.
ASI brings people together to solve the issues that matter most to our communities: safe streets and communities, strong schools, and an economy of innovation and entrepreneurship. Through its programs and activities, ASI renews citizen leadership in America and encourages active engagement in civic, philanthropic, and professional activities that are essential to this renewal, starting at the core and with shared nonpartisan values.
I hope you will join us on this journey, and contribute your skills and resources to the revival of the American Republic.
